This is very nice older restoration XXXX Indian Big Twin XXXXcc equipped with the very rare Xst year optioned electric lighting accessories and passenger seat and rack with Speed Transmission. The XXXX Big twin marked the last Indian motorcycle to carry the original Hedstrom F-Head engine and the cradle-spring rear frame. Many consider this model as the last "real" Indian. This bike is very correct and parts are original to the bike and note the Schleber carb and is equipped with the offered X-speed transmission that was newly offered in XXXX.Some minor paint wear and tear as indicated in the photographs, with excellent nickel plating for the most part. Needs new front brake cable and replacement kick start return spring. (the current one still works, just little weak) The bike is in running condition with all speeds fully functional as well as the clutch, rear brake and Corbin speedo. This motorcycle now celebrates its XXXth birthday and is stellar example of very difficult and rare Indian from XXXX with just few surviving examples. This Indian motorcycle was the centerpiece at the Brookline, Massachusetts Museum of Transportation's special exhibition Putting America on Wheels"Videos of the bike are available with the motor running.. This is not bike like what you would see at an auction that has replica parts and non running motor and other unknown issues.
