XXXX BMW R-Series
XXXX BMW XXX CC R-XX is in working perfect condition. Transmission, frame and engine all match up to the data tag on the steering column. Engine#XXXXX Frame#XXXXX. I do not have a certificate from BMW, to verify that it came from the factory this way. Frame says #XXXXX on left/rear.
The R-XX was restored in XXXX-XXXX by Vech at Bench Mark Works in Mississippi USA. Bike starts first kick and shifts well. Bike just returned from Germany for a mechanical refresh at the BMW Classic Center in Munich, where the engine was re-timed, the transmission was removed as well as the read bevel drive. The transmission had a new bushing installed. The bike was test driven for XXXkm before being shipped back to the USA. I have all of the paperwork on the restoration from Bench Mark Works as well as BMW Mobile Traditions. I have a parts book and owners manual.
BMW has its original magneto, carburetor and a maintenance free battery. Bike charges and idles well.
Flaws: BMW needs a gasket at magneto and slightly leaks oil at mag and engine housing. Rear taillight does not work. Left grip was put on backwards. Horn is original, but its brass ring was missing so it does not say "Bosch". Left exhaust needs fine thread bolt. Needs clamp under tank to hold up wiring/cables. Control levers need to be moved inward for correct authenticity. Asking $XX,XXX with shipping to any where in the world.
