Kawasaki ZX XXX selling it as is.  Numbers Matching XXXX  Frame   ZXF XXXXXEngine ZXE XXXXXXExcellent base for restoration or little bit of work and drive it.I acquired it about years ago and finally received clear title few days ago.  The bike was owned by the late husband of my neighbor.  He passed well over decade ago and it has taken this long to get the title reissued from his estate through the State of Illinois.I am selling this bike as non-running although when acquired it three years ago I immediately  spent $XXX to have the carbs cleaned and synced the gas tank cleaned, some fuel lines replaced and was able to enjoy driving it around few miles here and there (as much as you can without being legally titled/registered).  had several of the shop guys very willing to buy it as is right after they got her going.  Soon after that discovered what hassle the title would become and it has sat in my garage ever since.  was told by both the widow and by the bike shop that it appears as though the motor has just been rebuilt.  She mentioned her husband had just done so and the shop said the valves looked extremely clean and the edges very sharp.  have not verified this personally, but when I drove it a few years back it seemed to run really well with very smooth power (scary acceleration).  She also told me he had planned on restoring it back to original and had some work done to the motor. So that is what know about the bike.  Here is what see:
Engine cranks over smoothly with good compression.Shifts easily through all the gears and clutch seems to run out smoothly.Seems to brake decently with both the front disc and rear drum participating.Clutch cable is bit frayed near the handle, still engages but should be replaced. No cracks or broken vanes on the cylinder heads. There was bit of oil that dripped out over the course of sitting for three years less maybe an ounce; enough to make X" diameter oil stain on the floor over the years.Chain/gears seemed smooth don't appear overly worn.Wiring looks pretty good, no dry rotting insulation that would make you worry about shorting issues.Plug wires are new Headlight High beam works low beam doesn'tTurn signal one side lights/blinks the other side lights but doesn't blinkI don't have the mirrors.Speedo/Tach workgauge lights workHorn worksTank is original beneath the weird black with green flames paintSide covers have the left but one of the mounting pins is broken do not have the right side.Exhaust pipes are not original (they sounded really good though)Handle bars are tweaked and there are some small scratches on the right side engine cover.  think the bike was laid down on the right side at one time but not severely enough to tweak anything else as the bike tracked smoothly and didn't shake (fastest ever went was about XX or so got there in damn hurry too.Tires are checked on sidewalls, hold air - decent tread.  Wheels are in decent condition nothing bent broke or missing.Front fender has no dents but some slight surface pitting and little rust on the leading edge.Tail cover is intact no cracks, just the black paint green flames.Battery wiring in tact and functional.
That's about it.  was planning on restoring this bike but simply have too many projects including XXXX Falcon Ranchero that has been sitting in front of the ZX  in the garage.  Whoever buys this bike can check that out when they come to pick it up.Full payment due within days of auction close either via cashiers check through overnight mail of your choosing or paypal.I will store the bike for up to XX days if you think it may be challenge to pick it up sooner.PLEASE ask questions; value my feedback and want the next owner to be as comfortable as possible with this purchase.I really hope someone restores this old girl.  She's been waiting since 'XX.  Last time it was registered.
Thanks for looking/reading.
