Anyway, (from above), my gorgeous CBXXXF needs to be-reassembled as you can determine by the photos. Still, not bad, WAAAYYYY better than full restoration. All of the parts that you see pictured in groups have been cleaned, polished, detailed, clear coated, shrink wrapped etc.All the rubber bits have Armour All'd and kept in ZipLocks, the instruments are perfect, the wiring loom needs to be re-taped in places, but otherwise excellent. The rear fender and twilight are PERFECT, as new. Yes, those are the ORIGINAL header pipes,no rust, need a little chrome polish, very little. The muffler is an aftermarket SITO pipe, made in Italy and perfectly finished with show quality chrome. The stock muffler is shown with it, both included. (The SITO is way better!)Look closely at the condition of the switches (re-built), fork tubes and legs, brake disc, swing arm, chain guard, wheels, rims, etc. It's that nice. Those are S&W shocks, don't have the stockers, and don't care, they suck!Of course the first thing that did to this XXXX model is to retro-fit the 'XX, 'XX "rear set" pegs, and "normal" set of X" rise Superbike bars. The 'XX is goofy looking, and riding, all you XXXF guys know that! Lets' get to the bad stuff! The gorgeous, original paint tank has small ding in it, (photographed) is very hard to see, and MIGHT be pulled out by "dentless repair" guy..?I'm not sure, but it's there. The rest of the paint looks five years old. Also, both side covers look good, no cracks, but will need to be clear coated. The air box and headlight shell are stripped, and need to be re-painted as you wish. The headlight shell is primer'd and perfect. The seat is almost perfect, nine out of ten, and original! It has NEVER had Ethanol gas in it, but the carbs will need to be cleaned etc. All the cables are in great shape! There is small "abrasion" on the very left tip of the front fender (not ding), and will be very hard to spot unless told you, which did. Last time rode it, about XX years ago, it ran flawlessly, (It's Honda!) and everything worked perfectly. The bike has NEVER NOT been stored in my house, in the living room, in the California High Desert, where the word "rust" is four letter word..which it is. That's all can think of for now. I have starting bid of $XK on it, which think is very reasonable. If you want beautiful dry survivor to finish as you like, here is great chance to get something for very reasonable price (Maybe!), and finish it as you like. All of you Japanese Classic bike freaks know that the XXX Fours are getting more expensive in big hurry, three years from now you will kick yourself in the ass for not getting one when you could. I can arrange insured, bonded, and enclosed delivery in the XX states for $XXX.XX, maybe less in the West. can deliver the bike in SoCal for $XXX.XX to cover my gas. Inspections are WELCOME!! Or, call me anytime until midnight at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Good luck to all. Joe B Apple Valley, California
