This is nicely preserved CBXXXXRC.  If you are looking at this ad, then you should know what this is.  One of only XXXX bikes produced by Honda to be able to compete in the pro-am series races in Europe and Australia.  Unique and incredibly rare in the USA.  These bikes were the fastest thing on the road when released, riders would literally take them out of the crate and put them on the track.  'Rocket' Ron Haslam, Freddie Spencer, Wayne Gardner, just some of the iconic riders who raced these bikes.
There is not even XXXX RC at Barber Motorcycle museum, there is only XXXX RD; and the RD was never raced  The RC was the last XXXX inline four to be raced in these series before switching to the V-four configuration...
I have gone through this bike to make sure all is functional, it is still an exciting bike to ride even XX years after it was made!  It is on recent Michelin tires, and everything works as it should.
From Wikipedia:  The Honda CBXXXXR was an exotic Honda model that was produced in limited numbers from XXXX??XXXX. It was single-seat, fully faired sport bike based on the Honda CBXXXF.[X] The suffix denotes racing version, however the CBXXXXR was road-legal machine produced by Honda and offered for sale to the public. It was produced only in numbers sufficient to meet the homologation requirements for the to be classed as production motorcycle in markets into which it was sold. It was Honda's first 'homologation special'[X] and was raced in the production class racing in most major markets: including Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. It was not sold in the USA.In XXXX the CBXXXXR won the New Zealand Castrol Six Hour ridden by Australian pair of Malcolm Campbell and Mick Cole. The CBXXXXR won the premier Australian production race in XXXX, the Castrol Six Hour in the hands of future XXXX XXXcc GP World Champion Wayne Gardner and team mate Wayne Clark.[X] Other CBXXXXRs finished the race Xnd, Xrd and Xth, with CBXXXXXRs finishing in the top spots. The Australasian success of the CBXXXXR lead directly to the development of the Suzuki GSXXXXXSXZ Katana homologation racing specials. The model designations are CBXXXXRB (XXXX), CBXXXXRC (XXXX), and CBXXXXRD (XXXX). In XXXX, XXXX units were sold, followed by XXXX per year in XXXX and XXXX. The XXXX 'RB' was half faired with solo seat only. The XX and XX models have different bodywork including full fairing, aluminium fuel tank, and pillion seat covered with removable seat cowl. The XX (RC) and XX (RD) were largely similar with differences in paint scheme, rear swing arm and front fork design. In XXXX the Honda CBXXXXF was launched that essentially was blend of the CBXXXXR and the CBXXXF, for broader market. The XXXX CBXXXXRB had claimed XXX hp (XX kW) XXXX rpm.[X]
This bike has some personalized period-correct modifications, the original exhaust has been replaced by Cowley into system, some of the parts on the bike have been polished and chromed, but it shows very well and is mostly original.  It was brought into the US by Larry Conlin, who sadly passed away couple of years ago; at that time it had not been running for some time, and it did not have US title.  Since then it has been properly imported, and recommissioned for use.  I have copies of the original UK paperwork, the VIN is correct for XXXX CBXXXXRC, so this is the real thing!  Currently on Ohio Title, road legal in the USA.  Your chance to become one of less than dozen people in the USA with legendary "Ultimate Aircooled Four".
Bike can be heard running here: https://youtu.be/szZXNiTpXHc
Regarding shipping this motorcycle, have shipped bikes all over the world but this is an ever-changing scene.  You will need to organize shipping, can deliver the bike to local shipping depot or it can of course be picked up here in Ohio.  Please make sure you have shipping times and costs taken into consideration BEFORE you bid.  As you can imagine, this type of bike is rare and will command premium.  Bidding starts at very reasonable level and the bike is sensibly reserved.  The last one like this sold made $XX,XXX and went to Brazil.  It has taken expert work to get the bike street legal in the USA as well as running properly, so please bear that in mind when placing your bids.  Bid to own this piece of classic Honda history; these opportunities do not come up often!  Any questions please ask them through ebay.  Also please check out my feedback, last but not least: Thank you for looking at my auction.
