purchased this bike two years ago after looking for an original fxrT for over year and half. The most local REAL Touring model found was in New Jersey. am in Massachusetts. I bought the bike from XX year old guy that told me he had bought it from Harley dealer in XXXX. understand that it has few thousand miles on it at that time. The previous owner was very particular and definitely the kind of guy that like to buy bikes from. We spent hours talking on the phone before drove down there.XXXXOriginal RedEVO XXXX motorX SpeedEnclosed chain driveOriginal Air suspensionI bought it with approx XXk on it and have put on about Xk since.I was told something about lead additives of the time. He had concern that whomever rode the bike before COULD have used them and was convinced that putting stainless steel valves in the bike was good idea. He had the dealer do that shortly after he got it. It doesn't look like this motor was every touched, but after XX years it would be tough to tell what happened in XXXX.The motor has not been touched since. The bike is all stock (even exhausts) other than the stainless valves, little newer CV carb (done by previous owner long time ago) and newer front brake caliper upgrade.Bike runs GREATI put new Metzeler MEXXX tires on it about XXXX miles ago.I have changed the oils including the enclosed chain drive oil.Has guage pods and tape deck am/fm. The radio doesn't come in as I don't have an antenna on the bike. It would otherwise.I have an original owners manual and believe full service manual. The only spots where have every seen leak was out of the enclosed chain drive when it got cold last winter, and have seen the line going to the oil pressure sending unit connection weep. That would be very easy fix as its compression fitting to small plastic hose.I just put genuine Harley Davidson battery in it this summer. had left the key on and killed the other.I have had no issues with this bike other than not being able to make more time to ride it. I have been putting together parts lot that intended to use to do some upgrades/updates to the bike?I planned to make it little sportier while keeping somewhat original looks. If you want to keep the bike stock, you could sell these parts for considerable money as FXRT and FXRD items have been pulling premium if/when you an find them. The following parts will go with the bike.I haad purchased pair of NEW OLD STOCK Harley Lower Fairings for this bike? Yes, was surprised to even find them. ran them in the cooler months. They are still the original black that they came in. They didn't look too bad with the red so kept them that way.I have FXRD Grand Touring fairing in blue. Its in nice shape and has different layout for stereo and speakers. This would be easy to sell as have been hounded for it before.I have the original trunk. The previous owner said the hinges had issues and he removed it.I have spare left and right clamshell saddlebag. Not original to this bike and non matching color. believe they have the chrome guards on them.I purchased XXmm fork of the appropriate FXRT length that has mounts to run double discs. This is normal oil fork and would eliminate the air suspension that is on there now. This sucker was hard to fid at the right length. believe its inch longer than traditional FXR.I have newer piston calipers and adapter brackets to mount good double disc brakes on the newer front end. Oe is currently mounted on the bike's original front end.The original front brake caliper.Spare guage pods that are in good shape. These would be nice to replace the ones on there that have some cracking.I have an XX inch matching spoke mag rear wheel.Highway pegsI have been meaning to post the bike for while here and will add more details as think of them and will do better with pictures of all this stuff.
