This is H-D Sportster that have had for XX years. I'm the second owner. When bought the bike from Chicago back in XXXX, it had XXX miles on it . have done little better in mileage, but due to my owning near half-dozen bikes at any time, my total mileage gets split over several motorcycles. Believe it or not, this XXXX Sportster XXXX XLH still has less than X,XXX miles on it !!!!As said, have rotated my riding over many bikes but kept sure that each of them have been run regularly. For most part, this bike has been reliable in my time since the early issues had. The charging system gave me troubles and it was tracked down to the voltage regulator. By then had mounted charging led status display on the handle bar, so always know how the battery is doing. The air intake system upgraded, replaced spark plug wires w/ high performance type, re-jetted the the carbs like everyone does, run breather tube from the engine top down, had an enhanced exhaust system slip on, and replaced the OEM rear shocks w/ adjustable ones that can fit to anyone's riding preferences (both for compression and rebound). Otherwise have kept the configuration simple i.e. not adding any highway pegs or stuff like that, so the riding position is fairly standard, and the rider can control the bike really easily. I tried badlander seat in place of the original and ended up going back to the OEM seat. It's great compromise for comfort and the suitable riding height (I'm X-X).They don't make Sporsters quite like these anymore, this is primitive version of the whole original concept. Going forward, there will be fewer and fewer of this era Sportsters around. And this bike still has lot of life ahead of her. Let me know with any questions. This is 'no reserve' bidding process. I'm working my way down from bikes to just X.
