am selling my beloved Thunderbird, just have too many bikes and not enough time to ride and work on them, so am reducing little. The bike has had numerous modifications which include Keihin FCR carburetors with K&N pods. Megaphone exhausts, upgraded theXX inch rear wheel to XX inch with Avon tires. It also sports Corbin seat, LED lights, Nology sparkplug wires & Race Tech Xkg front springs. installed superbike bars to give it lower feel as well. Brakes have been upgraded with Galfer braided steel lines and the rear brake cylinder was replaced with new one. The rear fender was bobbed. The spring for the sprag clutch on the starter was replaced with heavy duty model (a real weak point on this year) and if you know anything about the sprag clutch issue on early Hinckley's it requires near complete tear down of the motor to replace. never installed rearsets on the bike since do mostly two-up riding nor do I think this bike needs them. I have owned this bike for over ten years. Probably the best thing can say about this bike is that it is very good compromise of having sporty looking caf? style bike without the discomfort. It also feels sporty while riding but is very smooth bike and not tiring to ride. While the bike is not liter bike fast, it runs pretty strong since the addition of the FCRs. When originally put on the FCRs it had poor low speed power and went one size up on the jets which made world of difference. It might even run better going up size again since it lugs under load at about XXXX rpm, but who lugs their motor at that RPM in general riding? The bad things: The previous owner laid it down and there is little rash on the lower forks and one corner of the front rim. Paint is original, there are few minor scratches on the tank, and two minor dings on the tank (that mysteriously appeared over the last winter£) but again nothing major and you have to look for them. But as you can see from the pictures it still looks nice. Since replacing the sprag clutch, the neutral light does not come on and it will not run in neutral with the stand down, just never looked at it or had the time to take it in to have it fixed since this did not bother me. The fork boots have seen better days and did order new ones and they are on backorder .... since June.... At the end of the sale deposit of at least $XXX.XX due within XX hours.
