Welcome to the sale of my XXXXHonda CBXXXJ motor bike. Anybody who knows their bikes will know how rare it isto come across one of these bikes let alone one which is up and running withalmost new MOT!!I acquired this bike back in DecemberXXXX from shed on the outskirts of Newquay cornwall. Sadly she was in veryrough state with no keys, paperwork or MOT and would only start with bump.Knowing how hard to come these little bikes have become knew she was worthsaving.After bringing her home appliedfor logbook and to my surprise was only the Xth owner which isamazing for bike of XX years. The bike ended up in worse state than firstexpected so she was stripped down to the frame and home restoration began.Here is some of the things thatwere done, Replace all kickstart gears ??� (had to get one from USA and one fromHolland), Replaced clutch and front brake cable, Cleaned and painted the frame,swing arm, front mudguard, chain guard, engine, front engine mount, top enginemount, horn and brackets, headlamp shell and mounting ring. Overhauled the frontcalliper, checked all wiring loom connections and replaced where necessary withsoldered connectors. Changed handlebars, modified switch wiring to work outsidethe handle bar (original was routed inside the bar), Modified rear mudguardfixings, new cam chain, new points and condenser, new spark plug and cap. De-cokedand re lapped in valves. Replaced engine gaskets, new air filter foam, newbattery, cleaned and re painted side lamp resistor, removed centre stand.  Re-painted the fuel tank and side panels infactory orange then lacquered side panels and tank. Fitted new stickers to thetank and side panels.As you can see she has had fairbit of work from the bike that was rescued from shed. She went for an MOT andpassed with flying colours. The tester was very impressed with the bike and shegot fair bit of attention in the car park with people enjoying seeing one ofthese bikes still on the road. It was the first MOT the bike has had since thesystem went online in XXXX and you can check this by going on direct gov. Asyou can see it looks like she still has the original number plate as well.After reading all this you cansee that alot of time has gone into this lovely bike and mechanically she isrunning very well. She has MOT until XX/XX/XXXX and is HPI clear. The Speedomust have been changed in the past as its only reading miles but shes readyfor her new home and for somebody else to enjoy. As much as this bike has had alotof work done it is by no means cheque book restoration. There are stillcosmetic jobs to do which will allow the new owner to have tinker and puttheir own mark on the bike. The handle bars are not quite original and thefiller on the tank is not original. The orange paintwork was done with rattlecan so is not show and shine. The pictures do make it look abit nicer. Butplease don??�t let this put you off.
