Honda CBRXXXXXX Super Blackbird XXXX
I bought this bike from friend knowingly inheriting it's issues with the intention of finishing what's needed.Truly, don't have the time to do this, own busy biker cafe in Maidstone and biker season is now!
Here's the issues ...
*Brakes The DCBS needs attention. have taken off the calipers, cleaned and replaced pads (rear) but they are still sticking and I'm not convinced all the pistons work in the correct pressure in the correct sequence. have bought Link kit will now sell separately on ebay or with this bike in negotiation. DCBS may seem like good idea but know if hit patch of gravel or ice, want control of which brake use! It's personal thing ;) Discs Cheap Chinese wavies, hmmm.For this reason, would not be happy for you to collect the bike and ride it away. Courier can be sorted between us or bring van.
*Occasion clutch rattle when idling in neutral. did some research on this and have been told it's 'standard' in Blackbird .. really? It wasn't made with rattle was it? Online 'experts' have many words of wisdom but it ain't an issue, if it starts to rattle at the lights, pull the clutch in and there's no more rattle!
*Tinny rattle at XXXXrpm really sounds like something has washer going for it! At worst, cam chain tensioner (it has XXk+)
*Rectifier has been replaced but the battery is still not charging properly. Windings seem common complaint, was going to replace the alternator with second hand one from here.
*Chain & Sprockets Not essential, just advisory.
And now the GOOD STUFF! ...
The previous keeper spent waaaaay loads of money on this bike...
*NEW front nose cone **BLING** he claims cost ??XXX
*CARBON FIBRE Exhaust
*NEW tinted screen
*C&N style short levers
*Bling little red bits here and there bar-ends, etc
*MOT until XXth November (must've been done when the brakes were better!)

Wanna see it? Cafe is open Tues and Thurs evenings, weekend daytimes but will sell this first come first served whether you same you're coming down or not, blame the time-wasters for that.
**NB** At the moment only have the green slip, nagged the guy bought this from, he says he sent it last week (X or weeks late, hmmmpf) can sign receipt.
