The time has come for me to part with Bladerod. Not because have to, but because just don't use it enough and it'd be much cooler to see someone riding it regularly. Bladerod was built XX-years ago and has since done hardly any work which i'm slightly ashamed of, but in saying that it's been kept in very good condition because of this. event when it moved from Sydney to Adelaide, then back to Sydney, then few years later back to Adelaide it was wrapped up to avoid dust and chips on the trip. To me it was just case of building bike that was bit different, never set out to wow anyone, but this bike has really done so much for me in the form of flattery by the number of replica Bladerods that have been built since then across the globe. You only have to Google Bladerod to see this. Not long after being completed it was featured as the main cover bike in Australia's biggest bike magazine Two Wheels, as well as making it's way into other titles around the world not long after. It's also been featured on number of very well know websites such as Build Threads, Bike Exif and The Kneeslider. http://thekneeslider.com/blade-rod-honda-streetfighter/http://www.bikeexif.com/honda-fireblade-customhttp://www.build-threads.com/build-threads/blade-rod-cbrXXX-rr/As well as it's own site http://www.bladerod.com The bike is CBRXXXRR and in brief has been rebuilt everywhere possible. It features custom subframe, custom rear suspension link, custom exhaust system and many many other changes which make it what it is. The most important thing is that this bike is still CBRXXXRR and it's still very fast. Even as street bike it ran mid XX-second quarter mile run and to this day would do it again. Although being standard engine, the added power comes from Dynajet kit, K&N filter, ignition advance and the custom exhaust. Since the studio pictures the bike has been fitted with subtle indicators, small and neat speedo and bar end mirrors. One thing can say about this bike is that the riding position is extremely comfortable due to the reduced rear height and pro taper bars.
