Yamaha TYXXX Majesty MkX Godden Frame Here is rare opportunity to buy one of the most highly rated twinshock trials bikes ever produced. Based upon the ever popular TY XXX the Majesty was built in Buxton, Derbyshire by John Shirt. They were firstly made using modified Yamaha frame then produced using Chromoly Don Godden manufactured frame. As far as can work out mine is one of the earlier Godden mkX majesty frames. The engine number dates it to XXXX TY, but that's as far as can work out. There's lots of useful information here: http://www.yamahaty.com/english/tyusineen/majestyen.html But simple Google search brings up literally hundreds of sites containing information about these bikes. Mine was bought as box of bits XX years ago. Every component has been stripped and either refurbished or replaced using genuine Yamaha parts wherever possible. Certain items are simply no longer available; for example, its incredibly difficult to obtain straight & un-battered exhaust pipe so mine has custom made stainless front pipe grafted onto the original mid section, which contains the all-important baffles, then finished with custom made end piece. Its lovely in the flesh, but more importantly it works perfectly (though little loud). The engine and gearbox has been fully stripped and rebuilt, as have the wheels, frame & all cycle parts even every single seal, gasket and o-ring in the carb has been replaced. To all intents and purposes this bike looks pretty much new. That said, would recommend period of running in I've built it, it started up on about the XXth kick and that's it I've never ridden this bike..!!! The reason I'm selling this is basically because we've just sold our house and will not have anywhere to store it for the foreseeable future. just cannot bear to have it stored in shed or under cover in mate's back garden it needs using as it was intended to be used..! I don't really know what else to say about it other than this has been an absolute labour of love that I'm utterly pained to sell never mind its popularity as trials bike its like work of art could just sit and stare at the bloody thing. Any inspection is welcome but please bare in mind that this is almost XX years old so is not never-ridden spanking showroom bike. Its been used and as such no warranty is offered or implied on this bike. However, if you're looking at this majesty and seriously considering it you know what you're looking at and this won't be an issue. Please email me for any further details. have taken video of it running but can't work out how to upload it.
